Atomos Partnership

Mavis and Atomos have maintained a close working relationship for many years. Together we have launched innovative workflows like multi-vendor Camera to Cloud bringing Frame.io, Sony Ci, MediaSilo and Atomos Edit workflows to the Ninja and Shogun range of devices and software products like Live Cloud Production and the Ninja Phone app. In 2021 Atomos made a minority share investment in Mavis solidifying a close relationship into a strong partnership. 

This partnership was a natural step in Mavis’ journey as it provided significant benefits to both Mavis and users. By integrating the Atomos Connect range of hardware into the Mavis software stack,  thousands of existing devices could be used as inputs into the Mavis platform – now rebranded and licensed as Atomos Cloud Studio. This was especially exciting considering the wide range of cameras already used with Atomos devices. By combining Mavis’ user-friendly, scalable, and cost-effective platform with Atomos’ high-quality camera solutions, we could simplify live production for content creators and enable new producers to access powerful tools previously out of reach. After the launch of Atomos Cloud Studio, Mavis worked with Atomos to bring to market the Ninja Phone app. This brought the same technology used in Mavis Camera to a hardware HDMI input for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max and subsequent Pro phones. 

Whilst Mavis supports Atomos in it’s connected workflows and maintains a close working relationship it continues to explore new opportunities in the market. This has led to the launch of Mavis Camera and some exciting new products in store for 2025.
