Mavis is pleased to announce the official launch of its Camera to Cloud integration with Sony Ci Media. Developed in partnership with Atomos, this new feature offers production teams a more streamlined and efficient way to capture, transfer, and collaborate on video content.
This integration allows footage to be progressively uploaded from set to the Sony Ci Media Cloud – significantly reducing the need for manual transfers. By pairing Mavis software and Atomos hardware with Sony’s platform, users can access near real-time uploads and work together seamlessly, whether they are in the same location or collaborating remotely. Proxies captured on Atomos devices are transferred straight to the cloud, eliminating the traditional hassles of on-site file wrangling. High resolution files can then be linked up using more traditional media transfers.
“We’re delighted to unveil this new integration, which reflects our commitment to leveraging the cloud to empower productions” said Phil Watten, CTO of Mavis. “We understand the importance of reliability and efficiency in day-to-day workflows. We believe our collaboration with Sony Ci and Atomos underscores these values and helps teams create, refine, and distribute content more efficiently.”
In addition to expediting uploads, Sony Ci provides enterprise-grade cloud security, ensuring that files remain protected yet readily accessible by authorised personnel. Teams can organise assets more effectively and swiftly locate the material they need. The ability to review, edit, and make creative decisions within Sony Ci speeds up the post-production process and allows for on-the-spot feedback, regardless of a team’s geographic location.
Whether producing an independent film, a broadcast segment, or a digital media project, content creators now have a more cohesive workflow that enhances collaboration among production members.
