Mavis, in partnership with Atomos, is pleased to announce a significant update to the Ninja Phone app. This update introduces 4K recording and support for Apple’s iPad Pro series. While Atomos has enabled 4K input on the Ninja Phone hardware, Mavis has developed the Ninja Phone app to allow for 4K 10-bit ProRes recording and simultaneously streaming.
Ninja Phone seamlessly connects professional cameras and lenses via HDMI to an iPhone 15/16 Pro or Pro Max – and now Apple’s iPad Pro – enabling direct 10-bit ProRes or 10-bit H.265 recording. With this update, users can also stream live up to 4K and view their footage on the iPhone or iPad’s superb OLED HDR screen. The forthcoming free update, previewed at IBC, will allow all Ninja Phone users to record and play back 4K UHD at 24/25/30 fps.
